On November 19, Fujian Yongfu Power Engineering Co., Ltd. (Yongfu Power) won the bid for Package VI of the 1000 kV Power Transmission Line Project developed by the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC). The package scope of works include investigation and design for 1000 kV UHV AC Power Transmission line from Wuhan to Nanchang and Changsha. This is the 9th UHV power transmission line project awarded to Yongfu Power.
With a total length of about 1,571.8 km, the power transmission line runs across China’s Hubei, Jiangxi and Hunan Provinces. After completion, the project will significantly improve and optimize the main power grid structure in these three provinces, which is of great significance in strengthening inter-provincial linkage of power grids in the Central China, improving power exchange capacity and saving resources in the power transmission corridors, etc.
Over the past few years, Yongfu Power has undertaken the survey and design for 8 UHV power transmission lines with total length of over 770 km and has a good mastery of key technologies in design of UHV power transmission line, e.g. design of tower and foundation in special areas like in moderate ~ heavy ice area, low temperature area, salinized soil or collapsible loess, area and frozen soil area, which has showcased our comprehensive strength in the field of UHV power transmission line design.
