On December 29 and 31, 2018, Fujian Changle offshore wind farm projects in Area A and Area C jointly designed by Fujian Yongfu Power Engineering Co., Ltd. (Yongfu) and Fujian Provincial Investigation, Design & Research Institute of Water Conservancy & Hydropower were approved by Fujian Development and Reform Commission (Fujian DRC) respectively, which has added a strong momentum into the construction of Changle Offshore Wind Farm Project.

This is a key project in Fujian province, with the longest offshore distance and the largest water depth. The construction is very difficult and the navigation conditions are complicated. The project is of a benchmark offshore wind power project in Fujian that has been approved with largest installed capacity.   

Changle Offshore Projects (Area A and Area C) are located 31-48 km east of the coastline of Changle District in Fuzhou City, with water depth ranging from 40 to 47m. The projects in Area A and Area C have installed capacity of 300MW and 498MW respectively. The total investment of the projects in Area A and Area C is about 7.05 billion and 11.2 billion yuan. The average annual wind speed at the sites exceeds 9.4m/s. The annual feed-in power generation in Area A and Area C will reach 910GWh and 1780GWh.

To cooperate with Fuzhou Straits Power Generation Co., Ltd. and Fujian Funeng Straits Power Generation Co., Ltd. in achieving project approval, Yongfu has made meticulous plan and organization (in engineering investigation and academic design research) and completed design in the early stage in short period. Yongfu has also prepared and submitted all the reports necessary for approval for the project in Area C and helped the owners obtain the approval documents for the projects in Area A and Area C.

Yongfu will continue to promote the project development and ensure the project quality amd improve the investment efficiency in an effort to make contribution to the improvement of energy structure, transformation and upgrading of green energy and the realization of green and low-carbon development in Fujian province.
