Submarine topographic mapping for Xiapu offshore wind farm was successfully completed
Date: 2018.07.20views: 413

In June 2018, Yongfu successfully completed the submarine topographic mapping for Xiapu Offshore Wind Farm, one of China’s largest offshore wind projects located in the eastern sea area, 20km of the Xiapu Dongchong Peninsula with total capacity of 1,100MW. It is the offshore wind farm with maximum water depth (20~50m) that has been surveyed by Yongfu.

The surveying area is far from the coast line where the marine condition is complicated for conducting the submarine topographic mapping that requires high precision.  And the wind and waves influence the performance of surveying instruments that couldn’t catch any signal from Conventional RTK or Fujian CORS in the surveying area. To accurately and efficiently complete the submarine topographic surveying and mapping, multi-beam echo sounding system and satellite differential real-time positioning measuring technology was adopted, providing reference for application of  high-precision and full-coverage satellite differential technologies for offshore surveying projects with no GNSS-RTK or CORS signal in terms of security plan and risk emergency plan.
