On June 30, the 8.9MWp Distributed PV Project developed by Fujian Yifan New Energy, a subsidiary of China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN), was successfully connected to the grid and the equipment operates normally at desired operation parameters, reaching the most important milestone during the project construction. It is the first PV EPC project awarded to Fujian Yongfu Power Engineering Co., Ltd (Yongfu) by CGN.
The project, located in the plant area of Zhangzhou Yifan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., consists of 365Wp monocrystalline silicon modules with a total installed capacity of 8.9279MWp, and is connected to the existing 10.5kV power distribution system in the plant area. The Net-Metering power generation is adopted and the surplus energy will be transmitted to the grid. The arrangement of the underground pipelines, ground facilities and installation of the electrical systems and PV modules are highly complicated. Optimized solutions designed for workshop structural reinforcement, bracket installation and access system have shortened the construction period and reduced the construction cost.
In order to ensure the successful grid connection, safety and quality was under strict control by the project department. The resident engineers were against all odds e.g. frequent wind and rain, high temperature, tremendous cross-production activities in the plant area, short commissioning duration. They actively coordinated all aspects of the on-site activities such as design, procurement, cost control, equipment manufacturers.
The successful grid connection of the CGN Fujian Yifan New Energy 8.9MWp Distributed PV Project has realized a positive interaction amid economic development, resource conservation and environmental protection, contributing to Yongfu's mission of "make power cleaner and smarter" and laying a solid foundation for cooperation between Yongfu and CGN.
